According to sacred belief, an elderly villager once had a divine vision of Bala Shiva in his dream. The Lord revealed that His kanta aabharanam i. e.sacred serpent resided at a particular spot, marking where He wished to make a temple for him.
To fulfill this divine wish and bless the village, the devotee manifested the Sri Balagurundheeswara Swamy Temple—a sacred Aalayam, radiating eternal devotion and grace.
The temple, worshipped by devotees, stands beneath a banyan tree approximately 500 to 600 years old, drawing seekers of spiritual blessings and divine grace.
This sacred tree, with its vast, sheltering canopy, symbolizes wisdom, longevity, and the eternal connection between the divine and the earthly realms. Pilgrims gather here in devotion, believing that prayers offered under its sacred branches are fulfilled, bringing spiritual enlightenment.
Abhishekam and Archana are performed daily and on special occasions like Mahashivaratri, Pournami, Karthika Deepothsavam, Pradosha, Amavasya, Ekadashi, and Masasivarathi. Special poojas and abhishekams are also conducted on Mondays and Fridays.
Devotees can offer Seva with a contribution of ₹500 per Pooja or ₹6000 annually. The sacred rituals will be performed in their name and gotra on the auspicious day, invoking divine grace. Those unable to attend will receive a special Pooja prasadam as a token of blessings.
